Marching Crusaders: Week of October 20, 2014

Great job at our final home game performance last Friday!

This week marks our final performance of the marching season as well as BC's annual Night at the Races and Bingo Mike's annual Boo Bingo.

We are still accepting last minute donations for the “Night at the Races” basket presented by the Marching Crusaders.  Thank you to all who have sent in donations, and if you haven’t we can accept them through Wednesday, October 22, 2014.  The theme is an Overnight Stay in Downtown Pittsburgh.

Boo Bingo Bake Sale
The Marching Crusaders will host the Boo Bingo on Sunday.  We will be selling baked goods during the bingo which are very popular and pure profit for the Marching Crusaders.  Please send your baked goods to the Cafeteria on Sunday morning (October 26, 2014) by 10:30am.  Please have them cut and bagged in “baggies” and ready for sale.  Each year, all of the baked goods have sold. Many volunteers are still needed.  Please email Mrs. Knoll candyk6947@gmail.com

Please note the Banquet information below.  Coming details and reservation information will be distributed this week.

Also note the Uniform Turn-in Night on November 5, 2014.  Please ensure that all uniform parts are appropriately cleaned and pressed.

Marching Crusaders Annual Boo Bingo

Event: Bishop Canevin High School Boo Bingo
Location: High School Cafeteria
Date: Sunday, October 26th
Time: Volunteers should arrive at 11:30am, doors open at Noon. The event runs until 3:30pm.

This is a great opportunity for Bishop Canevin to “give back” to the community by providing a safe and fun-filled afternoon of family-friendly entertainment for children from the surrounding communities.

We need at least 5 Marching Crusader volunteers outside to welcome the children to the event and as many other volunteers as we can get to help the children play bingo, to run our bake sale, and to help clean-up afterwards.

Come dressed in costume, but remember the afternoon is for the little kids, so nothing too scary! Show everyone why the Marching Crusaders are the most spirit-filled group at BC!

REMEMBER: ALL PROFITS FROM THE BAKE-SALE GO DIRECTLY TO THE MARCHING CRUSADERS! This is a very important fund-raiser for us. We ask that all Crusettes and Musicians volunteer and help make both the Bake Sale and the Boo Bingo a success.

Anyone interested in volunteering, a sign-up sheet will be available in the Music Room or you may email Mrs. Knoll at candyk6947@gmail.com

Thank you for your support!

Mr. and Mrs. Knoll

Marching Crusaders: Week of October 6, 2014

We really lucked out with the weather last Friday.  Let's hope that trend continues for the remainder of the season!

Musicians, note Friday's 8th Grade Day.  We'll be presenting sessions on Marching Band, including performances of Field Show Music, Bleacher Music as well as a few videos.  Please make transportation arrangements to arrive at BC by 9:15am and depart BC at 1:45pm for return at 6:30pm to board the bus for the football game at OLSH. Any member having transportation difficulties should see Mr. J ASAP.

Parent's, please ensure that your member's uniform is washed and pressed.  There were several members looking much too rumpled on Friday evening and given the recent warm weather, definitely are in need of a good washing.

We will be posting information about the annual Marching Crusaders Banquet sometime this week.

Stay tuned!

Marching Crusaders: Rain Plans for this evening

Here we go, our first stormy away game.

This afternoon's 4:45pm run-through rehearsal is cancelled.

Members are to report to the Music Room, in full uniform, at 5:20pm.
Staff, chaperones and crew should meet there at that time as well.

Parents not going to the game should keep an eye on their cell phones throughout the evening in the event the game is delayed/cancelled as that would significantly change pick up times (later or much earlier) at BC.

GO CRUSADERS!
